MBCC Webinar: PFAS Effects on the Immune System

Virtual

mbcc webinar on pfas and immune effects

PFAS contaminants have been linked to many health effects including high cholesterol and cancers. Most concerning, however, is that exposure to PFAS suppresses the ability of the immune system to make antibodies—the part of the immune system critically important in fighting COVID-19 and other infectious agents.

Join Dr. Laurel Schaider, Ph.D., Research Scientist at Silent Spring Institute, for an important discussion on the effects of PFAS contaminants on the immune system, what we know, and the potential links with COVID-19.

The webinar is hosted by the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC).

Tuesday, October 20, 12:00 - 1:00 PM EDT
