Join us for STEEP Science Day!
WHO: The STEEP Superfund research team (University of Rhode Island, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Silent Spring Institute) in partnership with the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) and Sierra Club Cape Cod Group
WHAT: STEEP Science Day! Members of the STEEP Superfund research center will be back in Hyannis for a full-day community event focused on the science of hazardous chemicals called PFASs and their occurrence in U.S. drinking water supplies, including on Cape Cod. The program will include project updates from the STEEP team, a film screening, and a tour of the Hyannis Water System facility, among other activities. The annual event is an opportunity for members of the Cape Cod community to connect with STEEP scientists, learn about research on PFASs, ask questions, and voice their concerns. See below for a full list of scheduled activities. This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome!
