Rashmi Shakti
Rashmi Shakti joined Silent Spring Institute in the fall of 2023 as a Research Associate. With a bachelor’s degree in Applied Math in Biological Sciences, they are applying their computational expertise to several of Silent Spring’s toxicology-focused projects, including identifying patterns of genetic mutations in firefighters exposed to hazardous chemicals on the job, deciphering early processes of breast carcinogenesis with multiplexed microscopy image analysis, and developing a model to predict estrogen levels in the breast based on in vitro data and physiologically-based pharmacokinetic modeling.
